Across the Tide represents its own style of music, further progressing modern rock into the newest genre, "Explosive Funk". The Tide uses an unorthodox song structure to maintain listeners' interest and thorough amusement and tends to appeal to audiences of all ages. High school friends Kenny Seunarine and Jeff Zierten began the project in early 2009 without a specific goal in mind. After a year of writing, jamming, and experimenting, the project's potential was brought to light and became a seriously pursued for the first time. Summer of 2010, Rob Lynn, formerly of Social Syn, joined as lead vocalist and Jarom Horner was added on bass, completing the line up. The band is currently working on their debut album, playing shows, and searching for a record label that can further expand its raw talent and strong chemistry.
