Damon William is an independent artist/producer aka "Sweetline" and hails from Vancouver, BC, CA. Having had a singer/songwriter and Atlantic/Capitol recording artist father, music began at an early age with some formal piano and violin training. After discovering the electronic music scene, he started home production in `87 on a four track, drum machine and synth as he drew his inspiration from early house clubs and industrial afterhours. At the same time snowboarding also entered his life and that`s where he acquired the nickname "Sweetline" he explains.
"Sweetline is an approach to enjoying the things I do, it's about looking for a sweet line snowboarding down the mountain, bmx ing through the skatepark or down a twisty road on a sport bike. A sweet line is also what I am looking for in the music that I create. Music and sport were creative outlets in my life and as I continued to spend time at raves and club nights, falling in love with the breakbeat and DNB scene… After many years of using music as a good way to escape the world, I discovered that music is an amazing way to connect with it. I stopped being my own worst critic and recently put my art out to the world.”
