Johnny Sunshine started his musical odyssey on the Gulf Coast of the Sunshine State - raised in the Tampa Bay Area. Johnny was playing guitar, writing and recording original tunes with the ocean breeze at his back and his toes in the sand.
After writing songs and beer jams with his friends in college, Johnny began working his way west; spending time in Huntsville, AL & Denver before landing in Austin, TX. Johnny joined the interactive world via digital audio production for computer games in Austin, but continued to jam and write music with co-workers and friends.
Johnny answered Hawaii's call in 2005 and enjoyed life on the Big Island in South Kona for the next 7 years - exploring the underwater worlds and working its impact into his songwriting.
While in Kona, Johnny Sunshine met and became good friends with Dennis Gregory - AKA Denny G. Johnny played on several tracks for Dennis Gregory's latest CD, "Daybreak." Please visit MaloloRecords.com or iTunes, etc. to check out "Daybreak."
Johnny Sunshine returned to Texas and is developing original rock tracks for his debut release on Malolo Records.
Johnny also continues to explore new songs and work on original themes (acoustic, instrumental soundtracks) for a series of DVD's featuring his footage from the underwater realms of Hawaii and waters beyond.
