James McNair / Bio

James McNair is a Country/Americana artist originally from Aiken, SC. He has been deemed a ‘Rising Nashville Artist’ by the Huffington Post. James currently resides in Nashville, TN and is building his song catalog while playing around town. He is also promoting his debut EP, ‘Hangovers and Heartbreak’ available on iTunes and Spotify.

James picked up a guitar at age 9 and started playing in bands through high school and college. Along the way he also learned to play the bass guitar, drums and mandolin. He began writing original songs in his dorm at The University of Alabama while attending college. He then moved back to South Carolina and began performing his songs with bands such as West of the River, The Far and Few and The Copper Thieves.

James is heavily influenced by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, The Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, etc. He has developed a truly “Organic” sound that is one-of-a kind. Hope for Country Music’s Cobra states, ’McNair’s voice, as I’ve mentioned, is unique so he never sounds the slightest bit generic’.

James continues to write daily and perform weekly in Nashville and surrounding areas. Follow him on Twitter and Instagram @jamesmcnmusic for up-to-date news and shows!
