Winter is a happy time for everyone. Most people are excited to celebrate the holidays, or spend time with their families. However, this is not the case for Fever Charm fans, who branded themselves as “Charmers”. They are excited because Fever Charm has announced their new EP will be released on January 5th, followed by a giant show at The Roxy in West Hollywood that night.
Fever Charm’s new EP, Sail Away, was recorded between April-October 2011. To get better tones, Fever Charm snuck recording gear into a Guitar Center in Boston, and recorded guitars for the tracks “Sail Away” and “This Could Be Our Last Time Together”, using more than $20,000 worth of gear.
“Youth is the song of the summer!” A review said of new alternative/rock Fever Charm. Punk rockers coming out of the East Bay music scene, Fever Charm has gained popularity by putting on highly energetic shows, with great music to back it up. Singer Ari Berl does a great job of connecting with the audience, Guitarist Theo Quayle’s melodic riffs get the crowds pumped up, and Drummer Kendrick Brown and Bassist Yianni Anastos-Prastacos hold down the classic Fever Charm groove like no other. No show goes without a slap bass solo from Yianni; it is a Fever Charm signature move.
Since the release of Sail Away, Fever Charm’s newest EP, the band has played shows throughout the United States, and Europe. The band has played at The Roxy in LA, Slim’s in San Francisco, and selling out Bay Area venues such as The Uptown, Blake’s On Telegraph, and Bottom Of The Hill. Fever Charm most recently returned from London, after playing The KerPUNK Festival.
Fever Charm has played with such acts as: Young The Giant, Alien Ant Farm, Prima Donna, The Phenomenauts, Emily’s Army, Adam Bones, Man In Space, Local Hero, Bobby Joe Ebola and The Children MacNuggets, Mystic Knights of The Cobra, Kepi Ghoulie, and more.
At a time where people are starting to say rock and roll is dead, Fever Charm breaks through the coffin and reminds you what music is really all about. Fever Charm is the sound of what is to come.
