Steve Walker / Bio

Steve Walker is full of energy and passion, inspiring audiences wherever he goes. He combines the exuberant energy of Bruce Springsteen, the honesty of Johnny Cash, the storytelling of Bob Dylan, and the intimacy of Neil Young. Steve plays good-time, feel good, and dance favorites from classic 60’s and 70’s to the present. He is also a songwriter and mixes a few of his original songs into his set, most notably the crowd favorite “Roll Your Way”. Steve has been honored as an IAMA selected showcase artist.
Steve can regularly be found at venues around northern Utah, with featured performances during Utah State Fair, Sundance, Magna Arts Festival, EBay Live Green Festival, Acoustic All-Stars, and Summer Jam West.
Steve has also been the host of the Songwriter Concert Series at Salt Lake County Libraries. He is a visible music community advocate and active supporter of Utah music organizations and UtahMusicians.net radio. He is a member of the Nashville Association of Songwriters and the Intermountain Acoustic Music Association.
Steve's originality has attracted attention and afforded him the opportunity to become actively involved with other area artists, promoters, and music lovers working to revitalize and build a music community in Salt Lake City that will attract national attention.
