Prince Radio Ra came on the scene representing Queens, NY with his CD 'Rap Royalty' in 2006. From working with Jared "Ja-Red" Jacobs, his music landed on Damon Eden's desk, a former A&R for Atlantic Records. Although an deal wasn't the end result, Prince Ra was able to attain very useful information and tips from the meeting. Many artist don't even make it to a sit down with a label, to even be turned down. Instead of dropping another Mix-tape, Prince Ra decided to work with underground producers to create his own sound and movement. Instead of dropping a million freestyles and verses, he decided to directly compete with the 'professionals' to see where he ranks.
His buzz started in early January 2012, when Heathy B of StrawberryBlunt.com, listened to his New releases, 'Keep Jockin' and 'Shawty on Fire'. The song, 'Keep Jockin' created an internet buzz, being played on @big7 Internet Radio Show, Time2Grind, Street106.com, and K100 internet Radio. He records and works out of the Legendary "Hall of Fame" former home of JMJ (Jam Master Jay) Records. To create a local street buzz to go along with his internet presence, Prince Radio Ra has his own sound, sometimes reminiscent of former passionate artists like (2Pac, Nas, DMX and Eminem, and at times, even Q-Tip). Prince Radio Ra's music sounds like uncontrolled passion and pain. Lyrics that describe his sense of entitlement towards the pursuit of happiness. "Unstable perceptions of civilized reality." "Intimate revelations of past and present life experiences." "Lyrical imagery at it's finest." He's also the front man for his group called 'A Vybe Called Fresh," which had been introduced on his early release 'Shawty on Fire'. This will be a wave that changes the game and reshapes the landscape of Hip Hop.
