Out of the volcanic dust from the explosive Mt. Fuji rose the Power Trio known as Wasabi. Kemo, Jay and Anthony combine their special powers to create the glory bound music known as Wasabi Rock. If you were one of the pilots of Voltron, Wasabi Rock is what you would be rockin' to on your iPod as you defeat every Rouge Beast!
Kemo, Jay and Anthony Hitaffer make up the Power Trio known as Wasabi (wah-sah-bee). While most kids spent their time playing in the sandbox, the brothers were building instruments and costumes from cardboard and duct tape and putting on KISS concerts for anyone who would watch.
Once Mom and Dad bought real instruments for the boys, it wasn't long before they decided to take off the make up and start writing and performing their own music. Kemo and Jay entered the club circuit when they were 12 years old. By the time they were 16, they were headlining their own shows. Upon entering high school, Anthony finally joined up with his brothers, and Wasabi was born!
"Being of Japanese descent, calling ourselves Wasabi was only evident", says Kemo-Wasabi's Guitarist/Vocalist.
"We owe a debt of gratitude to 98 Rock DJ, Matt Davis, who discovered us! His faith in us has catapulted Wasabi to one of the most recognized bands in the state!" says Jay -Wasabi Bassist/Vocalist.
Wasabi strives to bring the arena rock experience to every stage. Their sound is describes as nostalgic, energetic and awesome! Attend a Wasabi concert and you'll be singing along with the brothers and loving every minute of it!
The Brothers Wasabi love playing music, and can't wait to bring it to a stage near you!
