Shadow, born Danny Hutchinson, in Ft Thomas, Kentucky, USA, was raised in the Greater Cincinnati area and introduced into the music industry less than 7 years ago. Existing in the space between modern rap and hip-hop, his music somehow ties the traditions together while placing his own unique stamp and personality on it. In the tradition of the greatest artists, he raps his truths straight to your face, with no apologies or hesitation and a commitment to excellence above all, making him an exceptional artist on the rise.
With the debut of “Hate Me Now” released in November 2010 in Cincinnati OH with features including, one of Shadows greatest inspirations Lil Wyte, Project Born, JellyRoll, Partee and a couple more suprise national artists; Shadow was eagerly awaiting to see the reaction from fans and media that are to come. Before the release of the album also came a small tour that includes venues in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
Since then, so much has changed. He took a break from the music to get back in focus. Now in 2012 he is making his come back, already taking off with a super start, with a whole new team and brand new features with Gangsta Boo from and his partner in crime Amind, they are working on their side project entitled Broke&Famous!
Shadow is building up his fan base through playing shows, it’s clear that his ambition is enormous. “I’ve always been a leader so the approach I have in music is to treat people the right way so they’ll respect you and follow you.” His attention to details in his songs on the album is meticulous.
Shadow is one of those rare artists who has it all both a songwriter and artist who’s got his whole game down tight.
