Lost Maven / Bio

With the motto “putting raw back into rock” and a grungy, psychedelic and eclectic spin on Rock ‘n’ Roll, Lost Maven is a refreshing change to the music scene of Southern Oregon. Infused with folk, punk, Spanish, French, acapella chants, blues vocals, hip-hop, high-energy drum solos, beautiful heart warming female vocals and face melting guitar solos, Lost Maven brings forth a genuine approach to rock music steeped in solid rhythm, intricate hits and breakdowns and lovable chorus’s that reveal the heart and spirit of the band.
Members include vocalists Greta Gardiner and Veronica DeWitt who also take turns on rhythm guitar, bass and keys. Matt Grubb is the lead guitarist who has dedicated most of his life to mastering the guitar. On the drums is Scott Mangicaro who is the newest member and his funk inspired drumming has improved the quality of the music incredibly.
From the bands catchy, almost spiritual songs “Grab the Roots” and “Dusty Roads” –alive with rich harmonies and guitar licks- to the psychedelic “Star Thief” to the funky hip-hop infused “Eyes to see”, Lost Maven’s debut album Songs for Hungry Souls offers up satisfaction for the multitude of musical tastes.
The band began in the fall of 2009 when Matt Grubb and Veronica DeWitt attended a concert of Greta Gardiner’s. They decided to ask her to form a band with them and right away the three began writing songs together. After patiently searching and praying for the perfect drummer to come along, Scott Mangicaro joined the band and the music flowed like wine….
