Rick Olson is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, improviser and dronemaker based in the Tampa Bay, Florida area.
Rick is best known locally as the co-founder and keyboardist of the Frank Zappa repertoire ensemble, Bogus Pomp, which has performed continuously since 1994 in the US and Europe including concerts with the Florida Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic and the USF Symphony. He has produced several albums and numerous concerts with his organic drone music collective, PoOg, which employs a dizzying array of unusual instruments and techniques inspired by Indian Classical and indigenous music of the Middle East and North Africa. Rick is also a working nightclub musician, a recording engineer and produces voice-over, audio and video, and other creative elements for the eLearning industry.
