... began it's evolution in May 2009 as the brainchild of six accomplished Minneapolis based artists/musicians whose lives converged around a mutually shared love of the music of Pink Floyd.
The sheer durability and raw power of the music of Pink Floyd is universally known and recognized. Comfortably Pink gives tribute to the Floyd by first striving to faithfully reproduce not only their classic sound and tone, but the "experience" that was and is Pink Floyd. The recipe: Outstanding musical and artistic talent + sacrifice and dedication + passion + amazing equipment. The guitar tone of Comfortably Pink is incredibly true to the masterful tones of Gilmour and the Floyd. But Floyd does not live on guitars alone.
The band has had a few player transitions over time - but continues to strengthen the lineup. Most recently adding Jason Craig to the team on synths/keys.
Comfortably Pink is an ambitious project. The band's evolution is incorporating all the components that make Floyd who they are, and depending on the venue and space can include full video (rear) projection, intelligent lighting (of course they have lasers and fog), and always the huge sound for which Pink Floyd is known.
Comfortably Pink seeks to promote Music & Arts within the local community and benefit events for local and national causes. Please contact the band for further information.
Comfortably Pink's first show was on Saturday, June 26, 2010 in Minneapolis at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. Since then the list of venues has continued to grow. Watch this space or visit us on facebook for current tour information.
