Connecticut's premier hip-hop/rock fusion band!
We combine elements of old-school hip-hop, hard rock, jazz, pop, and funk to create a wide musical palette sure to interest and excite just about anyone.
The phrase "enemy concept" refers to the theory that Western
Civilization cannot exist without an 'enemy' - or someone to fight. This idea was propagated by Wilfred Peltier, a Native American activist and philosopher.
Our group is dedicated to promoting forward thinking in social &
societal issues through concious lyrics & inspiring performances!
The group formed in mid-2008 when long-time associates Ollie Twist & Tony Volpe decided it was time for a (musical) change. They immediately wrote several songs including "Grain of Salt", "Until They're Gone" & "Mind Overthrow". Bassist, Dan Pilver was added next & then followed in early 2009 w/ drummer JL Claybourne.
Hitting the stage for the first time in spring 2009, it was obvious TEC was a fan favorite. Being well recieved at prominent area bars such as Sully's Pub in Hartford, The Main Pub in Manchester & Up Or On The Rocks in Hartford was just the beginning. Proving for the past year their ability to draw crowds & entertain audiences across Connecticut, TEC looks forward to rockin' out the rest of the 2010 summer & then recording a full-length album this fall!
