As Days Fade / Bio

New York metal outfit As Days Fade was formed in the summer of 2008. After cutting their teeth and setting their goals, the band first stormed the metal scene with their 2013 EP Carpe Noctem (available on iTunes and Spotify). Channeling harsh realities through messages of independence and acceptance, Carpe Noctem was something fiercely relatable and earned the band a loyal following. Since releasing their debut EP, they were able to play with huge acts such as The Ghost Inside, Eyes Set To Kill, Ice Nine Kills, Texas In July, and even Bam Margera.

The group’s momentum was derailed in 2014 by the departure of their original drummer, which halted things for the band for almost two years. With half-finished tracks and a renewed desire to chase their dreams, the remaining members refused to quit. Determined to push through with the support of family, friends, and die-hard fans; the band worked hard on new music to continue showing listeners to keep your head held up high and keep positive no matter what. They figured out how to fix what was broken.

Now rising from the ashes, As Days Fade is back and stronger than ever. Their current line up consists of original members Blake Thomas, Tony Brienza and Anthony Augusta in addition to rhythm guitarist Brendan Rush and drummer Chris Barenz.

June 3rd 2016 marks the official release of the band’s long awaited EP, titled Resurrection. This project is the manifestation of the discipline, desire and dedication they have put into their music with efforts to show that when life fights you, you just have to fight back harder. As they explained to News 12 Long Island during an informal interview, “Musically and lyrically we tend to focus on the darker aspects of life such as loss, heartbreak, and addiction. Everyone can relate to that in some way, and unfortunately we will have to cross those bridges at some point in life. ‘Resurrection’ is not about why or how you ended up on the ground, but how you pick yourself back up and keep moving.”
