Paul Tinkerhess is a cobbler at the Fourth Ave Birkenstock shoe store he runs with his wife Claire in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a singer/songwriter he's performed for over 30 years at 100's of venues from coast to coast. Highlights have included opening for Pete Seeger, Odetta, and John Hammond, and giving singing testimonial before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
As founder of the hugely successful "Water Hill Music Fest", an annual event in which hundreds of musicians perform on porches for thousands of visitors, Paul tapped a fountain of creative energy and literally made a name for his Ann Arbor neighborhood.
Paul plays a long-neck Vega banjo and a instrument of his own invention, a 1970 Martin guitar modified to be played like a banjo.
