Surviving a fatal automobile crash in January 2009 was a sign to me that our Lord had more for me to do on this Earth. After 6 months of rehabilitation and nursing, our lead guitarist, “Wailin’ Bert”, was finally able to begin once again the journey of spreading his talents with others and sharing music with other compatible players.
Opening a restaurant and lounge, intended as a blues and BBQ venue, he and his family embarked on this mission. It was here on a jam/ open mic night that he met “Slim Shaw” and Phil Sanders, the original founders of The Wailin’ Wolves Band. The sound clicked immediately and the band officially set up practices, web sites, and in a short period of time became a regular gigging band in the S.Ga./ N. Fl. area. Due to difficult economy and landlord neglect, the family decided in October 2010 to close the restaurant / lounge and “Wailin’ Bert”, together with “Slim Shaw”, then began promoting and managing The Wailin’ Wolves Band on a full time basis, having nursed it through the growing pains of changed personnel and building the repertoire. Together Bert and Shaw have hung in there remaining dedicated to the mission of sharing their music and talents with others. Over 130,000 fans worldwide and growing is proof that their hearts telling them to continue on was correct.
The band comes from a diverse range of age and genre backgrounds to create their own original sound. A unique blend of modern hits, blues and rock classics, peppered with original compositions, they play a high energy show suitable for any age group that will keep you dancing or toe-tapping the whole show. As one of our avid fans stated, “your grooves cut clean and hard through the genre clutter to grab my ears and soul".

Charlie McCall has multi-years’ experience on bass guitar. Plus he is the nicest, most congenial personality ever which is greatly appreciated by the band. We welcome his expertise and grooves to the band. He has played on numerous stages of all sizes and brings with him great experience and expertise.
Well, what can I say? There is never too much drums and we have now been joined by two of Tallahassee's finest and long standing drummers - Ricky Nicky Brunetti, with multiple years’ experience on some of the largest stages in the country and years of production and songwriting experience PLUS his own recording studio. He has been playing drums since he was 8 years old. Rick joined Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods when he was 19. They had the hit song “Billy don’t Be a Hero” sold over 4 million records. It was certified Gold in 1974. They traveled across America & Canada coast to coast. Rick moved to Atlanta in 1979 and played with a local band that won the MTV van full of equipment for Atlanta, He also played at the opening of the London Brasserie with Ringo Starr (we had 2 drum sets set up) along with Jerry Lee Lewis, Jermaine & Latoya Jackson, Isaac Hayes and many more.
Also on drums we are joined by none other than Deb Berlinger, a top blues woman in Tallahassee area for many years. We may even break out double drummers in some of our shows this year .
The band has a great diversity in their music that helps create their sound making the Wailin' Wolves Band gain in popularity every show.
