Combined with talent and aspiration, Landon Michael has concentrated on strengthening his vocals and training to be a better singer. “I came to Nashville with the intent to record songs as much and as often as possible. I knew I needed to build my recording experience and hone my voice.”
While he continued to cut songs, Landon noticed his time in the recording studio was beginning to pay off as he discovered his strengths. Specifically, his range had developed and increased for a more dynamic style. He became focused on finding a hit song that exhibits the distinct and expressive sound he’s known to deliver with every note. With a team of industry professionals combined with his pure determination, Landon utilizes every resource available to him to ensure his music is given a chance on radio. That determination has paid off.
In building his brand and fan base, most of Landon’s efforts have been in promotion to radio. His latest release, “Might As Well Be Me,” and his last two releases, “This Ain’t California” and “You’re Invited,” have charted on Music Row’s Country Breakout Chart. Additionally, “You’re Invited” hit number one on the New Music Weekly chart after holding the number two position for two weeks. Other branding efforts have currently placed the video for “This Ain’t California” on GAC’s website and an official selection in the 2012 London Independent Film Festival and the SoCal Film Festival.
In its second week of release, “Might As Well Be Me” jumped 55 spots on Music Row. After five weeks, it jumped another 19 spots. After playing in 37 markets, the single soared to number 45 and made it to the Most Added List. This excitement that this song has created with listeners is resonated with radio programmers…
“This is Landon’s best yet. Immediate listener reaction on the phones. This Missouri boy is going to “show you” with this one.” Mike Thomas, KFAV St. Louis, MO
"Landon Michael is proof that radio listeners still know good music when they hear it. We tested it, and phones were very much in favor of hearing more. A classic example of how radio can still turn listeners on to good music, if we give it to them to hear in the first place." Ken Dillon, KDKD Clinton, MO
"Landon Michael consistently delivers the goods. Music that makes the phones ring and the competition jealous" Ted Cramer, WIFE Connersville, IN
"Listeners in West Texas love Landon Michael! We have had a lot of success introducing his music to our core audience." Richard Ferguson, KXOX Sweetwater, TX
As an entertainer, Landon equally devoted his time in developing his stage performance. Over the years, he has opened for many acts; Ty England at the ESPN Lumberjack Competition, the Kenley’s, Grandstaff, the sons of the Statler brothers, to name a few. During the 2010 CMA Music Festival, Landon was a featured performer at the Billboard Country Music Summit. Recently, he performed with Bo Bice, Bucky Covington and Richie McDonald at special music events around Nashville. Plans are in the works for a tour after the first of the year and support the markets where his music is being played.
Landon Michael has evolved to become a talented and stylistic recording artist. The artistry in his music maps the journey he’s taken in finding his purpose and his vision. He set out to do things differently in a changing industry. An industry where uniqueness and individuality rule. The result is a sound that’s fresh and honest. A sound that is Landon Michael.
