Ellen began singing, acting and directing in New York by the time she was 15.
Ellen recorded her debut album, ELLEN SHIPLEY, in 1979 for RCA.
That critically acclaimed album was followed by BREAKING THROUGH THE ICE AGE in 1980 and by THE CALL OF THE WILD in 1984.
Ellen consistently received rave notices for her songwriting and her performances from critics and audiences alike. She was featured in Time Magazine, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Record World, and many major Newspapers and Magazines across the country. Ellen has been in films and TV-- including her appearance as the Musical Guest on Saturday Night Live-toured all over the country and performed on European television.
Ellen's career as a major songwriter garnered two Grammy nominations, over 30 top-ten world-wide hits---including the Number One Song, "Heaven Is A Place On Earth". Ellen has gratefully earned
