Folk-influenced acoustic soul and pop from Edinburgh-based trio Townhouse.
Lisa Rigby (vox/guitar/mandolin/shruti)
Stuart Clark (vox/guitar/cajon)
John Farrell (bass/guitar)
Ryan McSwiggan (drums/guitar)
Lisa, co founder of the band with Stuart Clark, is a songwriter and performer who also performs solo and has been a regular feature in Scotland's Burnsong project, taking part in 'songhouses' in 2007, 2009 and 2011. She has released 2 solo CDs, "Hello" and recently, "Transition".
Stuart Clark who started playing music with Lisa in 2004, is a songwriter, vocalist, guitar player and percussionist (specialising in cajon). He has been playing in Edinburgh since 2002 and has joined various artists including Rossco Galloway, Roberto Cassani, Benny Tetteh-Larty & Kat Healy. He is currently working on his first solo album.
John Farrell joined Townhouse in 2008 as a seasoned performer on the Edinburgh circuit with many years of experience and stories to tell! John also plays guitar and bass with Confushian. He generally gets us up and dancing!
Longtime friend of the band, the multi-talented Ryan McSwiggan has now joined as drummer and group whisky-taster: don't know where we were without him.
Townhouse play a mix of venues from pubs to festivals including the Edinburgh Mela, Knockengorroch World Ceilidh, Perthshire Amber Festival, Wizard Festival and Kaleidoscope Festival. We're also available for house gigs (acoustic set-up).
