After growing up learning the piano/harmonium/organ and then drums Brian started performing music at age 14 in a rock group as a drummer in the early 60s....
He then went on to become a folk/blues singer/guitarist in the mid to late 60s.
In 1971 he met Martin von Haselberg and together they became the Kipper Kids.
From 1980 Brian began to perform as a solo artist/entertainer.
He has collaborated with and appeared with Blue Man Group, Nina Sobell, Karen Finley, Henry Rollins, Public Image, Genesis P. Orridge, Sex Pistols, Joanna Went, Eric Bogosian, Anne Bean, Bow Gamelan, Lol Coxhill, Evan Parker, Derek Bailey, Ian Hinchcliffe among others.
He currently lives in Scarborough, Yorkshire in the UK and makes soundworks and movies.
He has showed his digital movies at the Royal Academy and sound works at Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
The Kipper Kids have been involved in writing and starring in three projects for HBO and Cinemax and acted in a number of movies.
At the present time he is collaborating with digital media artist Patricia Wells on a proposal for a multi media installation incorporating video and sound.
Brian is also working on soundworks that incorporate vocal soundbites of world leaders, politicians, madmen, poets, murderers, rebels and others.
