Samantha Farve Biography
Born in New Orleans Louisiana as Samantha Farve Singer/Song writer a-k-
a Da’ Mouthpiece the 21st Century French Empress.
In July 2007 singing Reggae Music became a reality. Her first
universal single “I Like Dem Boyz” was a hit at her night club
“Lillie740” N. Broad her c.d. release party was a success, along
with her new no nonsense attitude.
In November 2007, Mouthpiece debut another original tune
“Bloodshed” with her sweet sultry voice she captivated audiences of
all races creed and color.
Nuff Respect! Says “Mouthpiece Aka Farveulous" it was 16 months of
ground work as paying her dues to local Venues such as Café Negril,
Tomatillos, Rays Boom Boom Room just to name a few.
Mouthpiece was the opening act for festivals which had artist such as
“Morgan Heritage“, “Lloyd“, “Yellow man“, “Loose Ends”
and many more.
Plus singing in rustic New Orleans French Quarters most exclusive
wedding venues as the lead vocalist with
“The Escalade Band” she says! was a great experience.
Singing both Reggae and Motown music simultaneously, played a huge
part in developing her stage presence.
In May 2009 she attracted more attention when she began singing Latin
& Soca music from Trinidad with R Hicks owner of "Pan Vibrations" she
also plays the Steel Pan now and enjoys it to the fullest. Also
singing vibes from Zaire and Brazil this international combination
only enhanced the obvious.
In August 2009 She became the lead vocalist for the band KiKi & the
Caribbean Vibe, for Beach on Bourbon’s grand opening which contracted
for 5 months, performing tunes by her favorite artist such as Tanya
Stephens, Queen Ifrica, Alicia Keys, Lauren Hill, Sade, Corrine Bailey
Rae, Norah Jones, Celia Cruz and Selena to name a few. Cover tunes
play a great part in conditioning an artist, contribution and respect,
is what she calls it.
On January 7, 2010 Mouthpiece premiered on WWL T.V. channel 4 morning
news as the lead vocalist for the world renowned “Bill Summers” new
band “Jazsalsa“ album, featuring great songs like “Arriba” in
which Mouthpiece was honored when asked by “Bill Summers” to write
lyrics to such a fantastic track which turned out to be a hit song
"Arriba" Along with big tunes such as “from Cuba, in which again
Mouthpiece gladly contributes her talent in Songwriting. Now on stages
such as House of Blues" Tipitina's, Maple Leaf, Blue Nile, and More.
Working with the masters she says! Gives her more liberty to express
the gifts from inside. Her motto is! (Give credit, where credit is
due, as we proceed to Greatness!) Mouthpiece will release her album
under a split title "Farveulous" this November 2011 look for it online
