Living in a small coastal town on the Southern Oregon Coast, Ben "A.M.B." grew up much like many of today's young people in a broken and abused home. While growing up, A.M.B. had to face a severe and life threatening heart disease which he still battles with to this day. Along with that, he dealt with an abusive "father." A.M.B. was abused in every conceivable way known to man. From verbal to sexual!
It was during all this that, Ben "A.M.B." was introduced to the gospel hip hop scene. He began listening to such artists like; T-Bone, The Gospel Gangstaz, The CMC's, and Fros-T. It was through the influence of Fros-T that really helped him in his journey to hip hop and evangelistic ministry.
A.M.B. got started in hip-hop over 12 yrs ago. Thanks to the help of Fros-T and A.M.B.'s other producer Illustrate, they helped put together the Pre-Release of his CD There's Hope in December of 2004.
Through all the abuse and health battles A.M.B. has faced, God has through HIS Divine grace, favor, and unconditional love, has given A.M.B. a message of Hope, Love, and Healing, through the tool of Hip Hop and teaching for this hurting and dying generation that is desperately seeking to be loved and to be given some bit of Hope and acceptance in their lives for their situations.
In the Spring of 2009, A.M.B. completed the full recording for his long awaited CD. He Titled it, There's Hope because A.M.B. wants to see people of all ages experience the Hope and Freedom that Christ has given him.
Currently, A.M.B. is back in the studio working on his new project titled: KINGdom Focus. On the KINGdom Focus CD, A.M.B. has the privilege of working with such artists as, Sevin, Mac Mob, LJ, Bliz, 51, Joshua Wright, Minister RMB, M.V.P, and Rollah. A.M.B. has the wonderful opportunity and blessing being linked up with the Word Wide Ministry HOG MOB (Hook'd On God Ministry Ova Bizness). Be on the lookout! This album will be like none other coming from the NorthWest.
