The roots of Tejasmosis spawned from the golden age of metal, when the big four were still grinding out hellacious metal riffs, and dominating popular music as we knew it. Noticing many metal bands started becoming increasingly "commercial audience friendly", Tejasmosis' rhythm guitarist and vocalist Jeff and lead/rhythm guitarist Tommy set out to forge their own brand of heavy metal. Their foundation is solidly built on the intensity of thrash, technical complexity of their influences, a lethal dose of Texas groove, and the unstoppable urge to make music they want to hear. The exact kind that has been absent from the metal scene for more than 10 years.
In their own words: "We like it heavy, and it's gotta groove. We are proud victims of our influences, and we apologize for nothing."
After Tejasmosis was joined by Brad on drums and Randall on bass, they continued writing ear blistering tunes, and began touring from city to city making their presence well known throughout the Southwestern metal scene. In 2010, they released their debut album, "Submission Accomplished", which has since put the band on the map as one of the heaviest metal bands in Texas.
After a brief hiatus, Tejasmosis has now reformed with Johnny O contributing to vocals and bassist Shaun holding down the bottom end. Both have worked with Tejasmosis in the past, and joined the Tejasmosis circus with plans to help them take back true metal.
In early 2013, the band began producing new tracks at Endurance Music Production's studio in north Texas. These new tracks are disturbingly vicious, have even more depth that previous writings, and will be infectious to even the most die-hard metal fans on any of the 7 continents.
In February this machine will be unleashed once more, as touring begins in Dallas, Texas. This time the brakes will be ripped out as they have no plans to stop until they slam into every major region of North America on a quest for domination.
