Tara Nichole, Lead Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist of Ivory Triangle:
I remember sharing the chore of doing dishes with my mother when I was young, listening to a radio blasting country music. My love for country music was generated by that experience and has followed me through to this day. Growing up, my dad used to always play oldies in the car, and as a teenager, my brother kept me in tune to what music was new and happening. I have always been drawn to musical inspirations such as Paul Simon, Morrissey of The Smiths, and John Mayer. Through schooling, I dated only musicians and I dated them mostly because they said they’d teach me to play the instruments they had mastered. Can’t say that did me any good. But as soon as I parted ways with one of these musicians, my voice came out. I started singing and songwriting without end. I have 230 copywritten songs presently, but more to mention. My favorite song is always my most recently written song. Often times, I’ll write fluidly almost without thinking at all, and at the end of a writing session I’ve written something that feels wiser than I am in real life at times. I hope people can connect with the content I write about. It is always interesting to hear other people’s takes on songs, where I had a certain relation to it, but theirs is completely different, yet entirely valid and endearing. Music is therapeutic for me. I love how writing music (or listening to music for that matter) makes you feel you have control over your life. :o) Tara Nichole
Gary Heinrichs, Bassist, Guitarist, Supporting Vocals of Ivory Triangle:
I am from Oak Creek, WI, where I grew up on a farm. I would have to say that by the mid 90's I realized I wanted to be a rock star...on this sunshine journey. [Tara Nichole and I] are a team and intend to travel as a band on world tours, someday soon to come...trucking along the way together. I was always told to follow my dreams, and here I am. - Gary
