Stanley Allyn Owen / Bio

Stanley Allyn Owen studied vocal performance and musical theatre at
The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. During his studies he
booked the 25th Anniversary International Broadway Tour of CATS. After
two years and over 600 performances as a swing covering Munkustrap,
Rum Tum Tugger, Skimbleshanks, Gus, Growltiger, Bustopher Jones,
Stanley decided it was time to leave the junkyard and move to New York
City. Shortly after, he booked tours of LITTLE WOMEN, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, simultaneously, and ultimately chose to play Pharaoh in
Joseph. The Edge Boston said "Owen's Pharaoh-as-elvis gave me chills
with his dead on impersonation". Some of Stanley's other credits
include; Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, Joseph (Joseph), Once On This Island (Daniel), Big River
(Huck), Fame (Nick), Children of Eden (Adam), Pippin (Pippin). In
2009, Stanley provided the voice of the Elf for The Elf on the Shelf:
A Christmas Tradition. He also appeared as a guest vocalist in numerous World Dance Movement concerts in Castellana Grotte, Italy. In 2011, after a nine year
absence from the stage in Marietta, GA, Stanley made his debut at The
Atlanta Lyric Theatre in RENT, where his portrayal of 'Roger' earned him
a 2011 Suzi Bass Award Nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Musical. Cobb Life Magazine
said "Owen's voice struck me as something special when he first
stepped on stage". In 2013, he returned to the Atlanta stage to portray the role of 'Tateh' in RAGTIME, and 'Lead Tenor/Brian' in THE PRODUCERS. Stanley is a proud member of The Actors'
Equity Association.
