Session Nineteen / Bio

With their debut album, Session Nineteen was out to make a statement.

When all the odds are against you, the music you write has endless potential. Persevering through personal and social adversity, they've created something that today's music industry seems to lack; a device that reaches into the life of us all and gives us something pure to believe in.

Session Nineteen pulls from a magnitude of influences from blues and jazz, to metal and classic rock. The result is a truly original sound that grabs you and pulls you into their world from the moment you hit play. The hard hitting drum lines and monstrous guitars display their determination to not only create great music, but also inspire and connect. The resonant melodies are blended carefully with an aggressive edge that secures an unrelenting connection with the broadest dynamic of listeners.

The message is unabridged. Execution is unrestrained. Focused on perfection without sacrificing an ounce of passion, their recording process is long, gruesome and worth every drop of sweat. Their lyrics comes from a deeply personal place; writing about topics that have affected and changed their lives. A high emphasis is placed on making sure each word can be embraced by the listener, letting them find their own meaning in the song.

It was in the studio recording their debut album, SIN, when they truly defined and fine tuned their sound. A mind blowing and tedious process, the band poured over each note to ensure optimal impact. Ranging from beautifully composed orchestration to perfectly placed guitar triplets and heart thumping kick, each song is unique and its own entity while still being distinctly the voice known as Session Nineteen.

Session Nineteen got its start when guitarist Wesley Stevens set out to write a concept album. While the concept album stood stagnant, Session Nineteen was born. With the inclusion of David Anding on guitar and vocals, and David Perkins on drums the lineup for the band was set. A musical chemistry was formed almost immediately between the veteran musicians. The band was able to play effortlessly together, writing songs at a breakneck pace.

As the band continues to evolve, the new work promises to be a fresh and rich follow-up to SIN. Arming themselves with a completely redesigned live delivery of energy that grips you with a definitive authority, Session Nineteen proves that they will earn their seat and clear the path of any obstructions.
