Bill began playing sax in middle school and was performing professionally by the 10th grade. In high school he performed on weekends in bands doing dances and clubs. One band, on several occasions was either the opening act, or the backup band for artists such as Major Lance, The Drifters, and Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge. After a year of study at Berklee College of Music, Boston, Mass. Bill performed with several bands before joining Spiral.
Spiral traveled the east coast for 7 years performing for clubs and concerts, and shared the stage with The Little River Band, The Sanford-Townsend Band, and Mother’s Finest. Bill also wrote, co-produced, and recorded music with jazz harpist Michael Deep on two internationally released CD’s.
Bill later took time off from performing to raise a family. Bill recently returned to the music scene again by playing with the jazz/fusion band Elements and the soul/funk/R&B band Cool Heat.
Today Bill performs smooth jazz/R&B music on his tenor/alto/soprano saxophones along with studio backing tracks over a high quality Bose sound system, the same tracks as you hear on this site.
Bill hopes that you will consider his smooth jazz act for your next event, whether it be for a restaurant, bar, party, corporate event, festival, winery, or wedding.
