Curside got its start at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois back in late 2004. It wasn't until lead vocalist, Jim Herbert's, senior year did they first play together on the porches of Duryea street. Soon after, they found a home in the local music scene playing both on campus and at the bars in downtown Peoria. While remaining an acoustic trio featuring a cello, they still managed to fill a stage and find a loyal following before they all graduated and migrated north to Chicago.
They traded the backyards of Peoria for the bar stools of Chicago and in doing so, found a new home. Since then, they've recorded their first full length album titled "Somewhere to Nowhere" (available on our STORE and Itunes), and their highly anticipated follow up album entitled "Some Days". They've stayed true to their acoustic roots, but always looked for new ways to incorporate fuller sounds while introducing new instruments and sounds.
At the end of the day, Curbside is made up of five friends who just enjoy making music. They've always considered themselves lucky to have found a sound that works, but even more so... to have an audience to play to. Thanks for checking out the site new site.
