My Empire / Bio

My Empire was formed in 2008. In April of the same year, they played their first show. But shortly after the band parted ways with their lead singer and while holding auditions for a new singer, the band proved that the show really must go on, continuing to perform with no vocalist. The band was persistent and carried on with auditions, finally finding their a new singer, Tanner Hall. With vocals covered the group recorded their first demo CD. But shortly after, the band once again found themselves in need of a new musician after parting ways with their drummer. After holding auditions the band found a good fit with their new drummer, Joe Annello. The group has also replaced their original Bass player with their new Bassist, Mike Chartier. Since the completed line-up, the band has aggressively persued their goal....To create and perform their music while pursuing their dream of claiming their place in the music industry.

My Empire's influences come from a broad variety of styles and genres, ranging from bands like Tool, Dream Theater, and Coheed and Cambria, to more mainstream bands such as Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Incubus. It's hard to pinpoint just one genre or style for this band because, just like their influences, My Empire's songs range from heavier styles, like their song "Punch Me," to a ballad-type song like "Knock Me Down," and the rest cover everything in between.
The band has played a variety of events and locations from local billiard halls , Toad's Place in New Haven and The Webster Theater in Hartford, CT. My Empire has also been featured on The Rock 106.9 WCCC's Homegrown show during the month of June, 2009.
All in all, My Empire is a band that wants to rock a crowd with energy while also having fun doing it. Doing whatever it takes to reach their goals, whether they be personal or band related, they have all devoted a great deal of their own time, energy, and money into something that not only do they believe in, but something that they know can reach out to a lot of different people. So at the end of the day when all is said and done, with their love for their music, and their "do whatever it takes" attitude---they are on their way to the top.
