Desire. That word could mean just about anything. Ultimately, however, this is the one word that best describes Centertree. The guys with Centertree, including their sound crew, families, fans, and friends all have an innate desire to see God glorified. They humbly desire to lead Christians, and non-Christians (…every knee shall bow, Romans 14:11) into genuine worship of El-Elyon, The Most High God (Genesis 14:17-20).
During the course of the past seven years Centertree has been signed with Psalm 40 Record Label (Goodlettsville, TN), picked up a few sponsors along the way such as Peavey, JHS Pedals, and Holt International, as well as shared stages all across the Southeast with some of the biggest names in the Christian music industry (Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Big Daddy Weave, Mikeschair, Building 429, Decemberadio, Addison Road, Sanctus Real, Johnny Diaz, and Abandon to name a few). Through playing on the “big” stages and even more so on the small stages in churches, youth retreats, and D-Now’s these guys have been front and center witnesses to the awesome power of God at work in many people’s lives.
Centertree’s immediate vision is to continue to minister in worship and work with Holt International this fall to help finance Holt’s ministry to orphans around the world. They are now in the process of setting up a touring schedule to pursue this endeavor. They also hope to begin working on a new project sometime beginning early next year.
The long-term mission of Centertree is to be full-time in writing, playing, and leading worship for God. The hearts and minds of the members are 100% devoted to ministry and all of the members are involved in ministry at their own local churches.
Centertree is Kevin Price-Lead Vocals/Guitar (Ellisville, MS), Kenny McMinn-BG Vocals/Guitar (Laurel, MS), Jesse Gass-Bass (Soso, MS), Daniel Vincent-Percussion (Hattiesburg, MS), and Ben Barr-Lead Guitar (Taylorsville, MS).
