A Minor Revolution's sound is derived from years of influence listening to NOFX, Mischief Brew, The Clash, Freddie Hubbard, and Hi-fi and the Road Burners - the five favorite bands of AMR's 5 members; Ryan, Zack, AJ, Matt, and Luthor. A house party of genres including punk, reggae, hip-hop, and good old fashioned rock n roll are what drive the band and are very apparent in both our debut album "AMRica" and the upcoming unreleased "Consexual Sense".
After 4 years of playing house shows, small clubs and local bars around New England with the occasional east coast one night stand, we have made many friends, picked up great contacts in the local, regional, and national scenes, and have since started to focus on our own personal bigger picture.
AMR's emergence into other markets outside of our home turf kicked off in June of 2013 with our first official tour. This tour brought us through 9 shows in 7 states with the crazy Brit-Punks Not Since The Accident who joined us on the adventure. During this time we were psyched to see our fan base and online numbers such as Reverbnation rankings soar.
Since the end of our tour we have been focusing on developing our sound further through our in-mixing process album "Consexual Sense" and gearing up for a 2014 tour to Europe with our brothers from across the pond.
We have been honored to play with and have gained recognition with such amazing bands as Far From Finished (MA, Flix Records), Michale Graves (NJ, Hydraulic Entertainment), Stray Bullets (MA), Paranoid Social Club (ME), The Down and Outs (RI), The Atom Age (CA, Asian Man Records), Badfish, Not Since The Accident (UK, Renegade Sounds), and Burning Streets (MA, Sailor’s Grave Records), as well as many local heroes from the Boston music scene such as Lenny Lashley (formerly of Darkbuster,) and Geoff Palmer (formerly of the The Queers and The Guts).
Fully DIY from the start, we have written, produced, and distributed our own work, promoted and booked our own shows with the help of some great friends and local talent, and strive to always put on the best show we can for the crowd.
