Corey Shaw is an American R&B Pop Singer, Songwriter, Actor & Dancer. He was born and raised in raised in St.Louis MO, U city to be exact. This is also the same area where star recording artist Nelly is from. Corey started playing football at age 7 and was an athlete star ever since. With quite a bit of promise to go to the college level and maybe even NFL one day, all those dreams fell short when he was named ineligible to play his senior year because of low grades. However, C Shaw’s talent and affinity for music would not be stopped. As a consummate dancer and performer, anyone around Corey will notice that even in moments of leisure he never steps away from his art form. Similar to many other musical geniuses, he sings and dances constantly. Corey walks to a rhythm and always has a tune in his mind that eventually comes out via his vocal cords throughout the day.
As Corey looked to further his love for music he moved to Atlanta, GA where he started working with Antonio “Topcat” Randolph under Peach Tree Music Group. As Singer Songwriter EMI/Topcat/@unique he was writing for many major artists such as Chris Brown, Trey Songz, the New Boyz, Day 26, Justin Beiber, Cherish and more. Corey wanted to focus more on his own budding career so he relocated to Los Angeles, CA and has been doing more recording.
Without a deal Corey Shaw was able to build a buzz off of his Single ‘Make You Do Dat” which quickly got play around St.Louis. Corey is currently a solo artist and one fourth of the super boy band “Forever”, produced by multi-hit record producer Dem Jointz. Corey Shaw is a pure R&B Pop Singer with great stage presence. His ability to dance, sing and engage with audiences is a gift he works to perfect daily. For this reason he is often compared to the upper echelon performers like Usher, Omarion, and Chris Brown. He is currently expanding his musical works in the studio, creating visuals for those works to reach a broader audience.
While Corey was perfecting his skills and spending time writing records for major artist in the US, he met Efrem “Offshore” Dryer in early 2011 through a mutual friend at a studio on the East side of Atlanta. Offshore noticed that Corey never stopped moving and singing, he was very eager to share his songs and projects. In the words of Offshore “He just would not stop exhibiting his talent, anyone who believes that much in themselves and actually has true talent is worth working with”. This sparked enough interest in Offshore to want to introduce him to the Brazilian marketplace. Since then Corey has recorded with one of Brazil’s best, Terra Preta, who created a remix to his single “Make You Do Dat”. With his strategic partnership with Offshore and Adversecity Management Corey will reach into the international realm and to continue to build a buzz within the worldwide Brazilian demographic.
