Matthew Chase wrote "Believe," a tender love song for his bride-to-be, Sarah. Sadly, just five months after the couple’s 11/15/2007 wedding, Matthew Chase was killed shark diving, off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa. Since his death, his widow Sarah Tallman has continued the promotion of his music.
Matthew Chase posthumously won the 2008 Indie Singer-Songwriter Association (ISSA) Song Contest Lyrics of the Year award for his song "Believe." His last CD Everything, has the ISSA award-winning single "Believe," as well as ISSA final nominee for Single of the Year "Feel You Near" and Final Nominee for Best Pop Song for "All You Gave." "Believe" also placed as a semi-finalist in the 2009 Adult Contemporary (AC) category in the International Songwriting Competition.
Tallman started networking and reaching out to existing artists/bands through social media sites. Determined to succeed, she persevered until she found a marketing position within the music industry and is now in the planning stages of releasing a few songs with some pretty cool musicians that she's met along this journey.
"It's sometimes hard to BELIEVE that this is all really happening. I keep reminding myself to "Dream Big, Shoot for the Stars and Always BELIEVE!" --- Sarah Tallman
