Pervis Bigsmooth Alford / Bio

I am a bassist who began playing the bass in the early 70's. I have shared the stage with artists such as Bob James & Earl Klugh. I've opened for many artists, including, Pieces of a Dream, Midnight Star, Zapp and others. I was in one of the first US bands to play in the famous, Bottom Line Night Club in Japan. After returning to Ohio, I joined an all-original fusion band which helped me develop my writing skills. I have played in bands that encompass many genres of music; jazz, blues,r&b,alternative rock, rock, folk, funk, dnace, and contemporary jazz. My style is a reflection of my experience as a modern bass player. I know how to be the foundation, and how to take the lead. I play the melodies, solos, and all parts in the songs featured on this site. Nah-lins stomp is a collaboration with Mike Jackson, who plays keys and drum program.
