Take Madison, WI yodeler, comedian, and singer/songwriter Stephen Lee Rich, add veteran Chicago folk songstress/songwriter/humorist/multi-instrumentalist Sandy Andina, shake and stir, and place on a stage or in a studio. Result? Andina & Rich, an acoustic-eclectic Americana duo with humor, heart, harmony and over 70 years of entertainment experience between them. They met in Chicago's folk and comedy clubs in 1981 and performed together on and off until 2001, when they revived and formalized their performing partnership. Think of them as Burns & Allen meets the Smothers Brothers meets Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart, and you begin to get the picture. They've toured together throughout the Midwest and South; and performed together, individually and with others at clubs, cafes, festivals, showcases, conferences, house concerts and private events all over the US, plus parts of Canada & Mexico. They released their first duo CD "Because We Can" (which was played everywhere from Dr. Demento to Camp Casey) in 2006 and are about to unleash the followup, "Two Guitars, a Dulcimer and an Attitude" later this spring. "Appetizers," a preview EP, is currently available directly or at shows. They'll make you laugh, cry, think and be glad you listened!
