The Country Touch Band has been playing 70’s style country rock in Colorado’s northeastern plains for some 30 years. We were Americana before the word was even invented. Our playlist runs from Johnny Cash to Grateful Dead, and will soon include some original material as well. Recently we have been playing at The Waterloo in Louisville, but we have worked untold numbers of honky tonks and critter clubs all over the eastern plains for years. We have also been a regular for 8 years on the Colorado Bike Tour, and appear regularly at the Colorado Steel Guitar Jamboree. We are currently focused on expanding further into the metro area.
Frontman Joe Kaus has been playing guitar and singing at barn dances and other gigs since he was about 15. He’d have started sooner but he had to wait for Edison to introduce the phonograph so he could learn some songs. Vern and Dan have been with him for 20 years, and about 8 years ago JB Arnold was added and learned to play steel on stage with the band. Joe has almost completely recovered from that experience. Jerry Capone joined shortly after that and brings a tight, punchy groove to the proceedings.
