The Wide Open / Bio

Hailing from Texas, Season is a self taught guitarist/singer/songwriter who grew up listening to MoTown, Elvis Presley and The Beatles. In High School she was classically trained in opera and competed in statewide competitions. During this time she also started performing and touring the Texas Opry Cuircut with the likes of LeAnne Rimes, all before the age of 17. Shortly after graduation she moved to Nashville TN on her own, with no money, a big heart and an even bigger dream. Living the starving artist lifestyle she cut her teeth on the Nashville club curcuit including Tootsies and The Bluebird Cafe. Combining her early years of opera vocal training with her love of MoTown and classic rock she started making music based on Nashville writing techniques she picked up on the scene. She honed and polished her writing for years making small yet steady advances in her career.

After an open call audition in 2004 for the Television show Nashville Star, Season advanced as a National Finalist, but was not selected as a winner. Undeterred, Season continued over the years to write and perform and finally in 2011 she independently recorded and released her first studio album and Video, "I'm Alive". The Academy of Texas Music nominated Season and her efforts for "Award of Distinction" and also received many fantastic reviews from industry pros noting her distinquished vocals, keen lyrics and soulful writing style.

Following the immense success of "I'm Alive", Season released her sophmore EP "Wildfire" and hit the road, in a grassroots approach to promote the album. Her tenacity payed off. She garnered 9 nominations including best "Female Vocalist" and best "Singer/Songwriter" in Destin FL. She also received yet another nomination from the Accadamy of Texas Music for "Female Vocalist of the Year"! She also won "Best Music Video" for her epic and erie ending of the video "Wildfire"!

Season is a dynamic performer capable of intimate solo shows, as well as high energy full band shows. THE SEASON AMMONS BAND has recently been nominated "Best Band" on the emerald coast!
