We are a Los Angeles based band that creates a dark blend of country rock and alterative roots music that we call "Folk-Noir." The band has gradually expanded its sound outside the confines of alt.country, while still honoring the Americana tradition. Jed's Dead crafts songs that range from twangy, blues rockers to brooding acoustic ballads with a touch of gallows humor.
Our debut album, "You've Already Won, Babydoll" was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Tommy Skarupa. The first single from the album, "A Girl from Texas" was mixed by multi-platinum producer Val Garay.
Jed's Dead songs have appeared in the feature films "Sibling Rivalry", and "The Phobic." And we appear as ourselves in the upcoming feature film "Butterfly."
Edward Romero lived and worked as a singer/songwriter in Europe for six years before moving to Los Angeles in 2003 and forming Jed's Dead.
