A founding member of the Jazz Gospel Ensemble, an all female vocal group formed in 1995 to celebrate jazz and gospel, performed throughout the Washington, Metropolitan area. Indigo is the recipient of Delta Sigma Theta’s 1992, Young Artist Award and in 2003, she was selected as a Semi-Finalist in the Baltimore's 14th Annual Billie Holiday Vocal Competition. Indigo has performed throughout the Washington Metropolitan area and beyond in venues to include the Kennedy Center, Blues Alley, Carter Baron, Twins Jazz Lounge, and Manhattan’s Sugar Bar and has shared the stage with Angela Bofil, Roy Ayers, Paul Taylor, Peabo Bryson, Miki Howard, Joyce Cooling, Arena Stage Players, Alvin Ailey Dancers, and Harolyn Blackwell, among others.
