SKEEM 2 da SKEEM started writing and composing poetry and songs in Junior High School. Always having a strong passion for Hip Hop she joined her two brothers (Big Bino & Mr. Kritikal) and became a member of the family group "RAW BIZ FAM" at 16. Recording and performing as part of the group SKEEM 2 da SKEEM settled into her role and ultimately started to develop what has now become her own "star quality".
SKEEM 2 da SKEEM emerged as a solo artist with the release of her first single "It Be Like" followed by the remix in 2002. Receiving radio play throughout the Midwest, this song quickly gained popularity and solidified her as an undeniable talent and a force to be reckoned with. She released her indie debut album "Plan or Design" off her own label Raw Bizness Family Entertainment in 2004 which included several street anthems and also very personal, self revealing records. The lead single "SKEEM 2 da SKEEM" was simply a introduction. SKEEM 2 da SKEEM released her very first mixtape “Raw Biz Fam Ent Presents: SKEEM Mixtape Murda Vol 1” in 2006. This mixtape created a tremendous buzz and was a note worthy project for a first mixtape giving you 24 tracks of SKEEM 2 da SKEEM in her rawest form.
SKEEM 2 da SKEEM endured personal turmoil that caused her to take a brief hiatus but returned with the her single and video for "GO BOZO".
