Lamar Harris, a respected brass player, producer, and bandleader, has been on the St. Louis music scene for nearly a decade. The New Jazz/Electronica based rhythms of The L incorporate a unique blend of genres ranging from Contemporary, “Old School”, Afro-Beat, Reggae, to Salsa. Lamar has performed nation-wide with talented artists such as Dwele, Chico Debarge, the Cab Calloway Big Band, Algebra Blessett, Choklate, John Legend, Mos Def, Common, Musiq, Chrisette Michele, and many others. He has also shared stages with veteran artist such as The Zapp Band, Shirley Murdoch, and Earth Wind and Fire. He has appeared at events such as Live on the Levee, Jazz at the Bistro, The St. Louis Art Fair, 1st Night New Years Eve Celebration, and headlined the Juneteenth Festival in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
