The Wizards of Winter are an eclectic group of musicians from the Metro NY, NJ, PA region with strong Classical and Progressive Rock influences woven throughout their musical careers. One clear vision originally brought this group of talented performers together in 2010. That was to faithfully reproduce the music of the Trans- Siberian Orchestra (TSO) and present it in a more intimate setting.
Disclaimer: The Wizards of Winter are not a TSO tribute band.
After our inaugural season in 2010, the dream grew. The Wizards released their own Christmas Rock Opera album based on entirely original material in 2011 . While similar to TSO in its style, the Wizards original material is unique unto itself. The Wizards now perform a few of TSO's greatest hits but most of the the concert is comprised of our own original music.
The Wizards have had the pleasure of touring with four of the original members of TSO ( Tommy Farese, Guy LeMonnier, Tony Gaynor, and Joe Cerisano ). Guy LeMonnier joined the band as an official member in 2014.
The result of months of practice is always a powerful, tight production that brings audiences to their feet at every performance. The band now regularly sells out 1k-2k seat theaters.
2015 will bring a bigger stage production, and a second album. Also, in addition to Guy LeMonnier, Tony Gaynor and Joe Cerisano will be returning. We hope to have Tommy Farese join us again this year as well.
