Roots, Rock, Reggae ... this is the musical foundation for Santino Cadiz. Self-teaching himself guitar, at the age of 22, Santino began to develop his musical endeavor with rhythmic Rasta undertones and subtle Folkish nuances.
Searching for inspiration, Santino packed up his possessions in 2004 and left California as well as his first project "Delta 9". Heading to the Oregon coast created inspiration to produce and release his first solo CD "Rise Up and Walk". This album is an eclectic mix of reggae, hip hop, jazz, and R&B. After his 2005 CD release party for "Rise Up and Walk" Santino said, "I was able to take all of the styles of music that influence me in a personal way and compose a collection of songs that I am really proud of, truly a peek into my soul".
In mid 2006 Santino landed in Eugene, Oregon, where he formulated his second project with a group of friends. This project was a local neo funk experimental reggae celtic infusion called "Selah", where they created music together for one year.
Since May 2008, Santino has been in Corvallis, Oregon. Once again, Santino connected with a group of talented musicians to form a wonderful ensemble . This third project is made up of roots and reggae, with a dash of love, and 17 other copyrighted spices. "Sar Shalom" (Prince of Peace) was then born. Santino states, "We are a group of friends dedicated to healing, peace, and unity through positive musical vibrations."
Since January 2011, Santino has been focusing on his solo performance. After spending many hours at Wild Rose Studios in Corvallis, Santino has released his second solo album "Soteria".
