Down Heaval started in Anaheim, CA in the summer of 2001. First song to be written was "Year of the Snake" which was about the 2000 election. Scott Milton was friends with both FreddyMedal and Jeff Schrick and brought them together to meet. Things clicked fast and with Scott on the drums, Down Heaval began practicing and writing/recording new tunes like "Trapped Between the Daze" , "Land of the Free" , "Black in the Light" , "She's Got You by the Balls" and "Oblivion" as well as rerecording "Faces of Death" and "Last Supper" a couple older FreddyMedal tunes. In February 2002, Down Heaval played their first show at The Shack in Anaheim, CA. They played another gig there 3 weeks later, and Scott left the band, and they remain good friends to this day with Scott. Dave Manker stepped in on drums and after 3 months, Down Heaval played it's final gig. WTF!!! Final Gig? OK here we are in 2012, with FreddyMedal and Jeff Schrick rejoined by Dave Manker (in 2010) on the drums and the edition of long time friend Brett Baugh handling the Lead Guitar duties. Down Heaval played 2 gigs in February, and started booking more gigs. Jeff Scrick became too busy to continue in Down Heaval. Taking over the bass duties to help Down Heaval keep their concert with Malice & Heretic on track is a longtime friend of FreddyMedal, and a familiar face to the Southern California Rock Scene...........Augie Madrigal!! Augie is current front man for the band Playground, ex-Masters of Reality/Black Sabbath Tribute singer, ex-Eden Bassist, Ex-Current & Future Ex-Eden Singer!! Augie is also bringing Augmented with him. Augmented is Augie Madrigal on Lead Vocals/bass, Dave Manker on Drums, Brent Stevens on Lead Guitar, FreddyMedal on Guitar. http://www.reverbnation.com/augmented4life
After the last show at Malone's on 9/8/12, Down Heaval and Brett Baugh parted ways over musical differences. We wish Brett the best.
