lolah (an acronym open to interpretation), was first formed by Choad several years ago as a four-piece. After the usual rock & roll laundry-list of lineup changes and false starts, the lolah-train finally got chugging in mid 2009 as a trio. Between all three members, opening slots for national acts from Cheap Trick to Bad Religion have been achieved, with much loftier goals of being headliners in progress. Writing for the band’s debut album began in late December ’09, with a sound reminiscent of groove-rockers such as Clutch, punks like The Clash, and even more polished-rock like Breaking Benjamin. We want each show to be an experience. Audience interaction is a must, not a plus. Copious amounts of sweat are a guarantee – if the audience isn’t sweating, then call an ambulance because they must be dead!
