Cat delivers her most diverse album yet in "Cat 5 - Today". From the Americana sound of “Activities”, to the industrial heaviness of “Too Late”, Cat has penned a collection of songs for almost any mood. “Doing It” is a delivery of funk and sardonic humor that’s sure to make you move, while “Bombs Away” brings a beat-driven soundscape so we can party until “we all get blown away”. The title track “Today" captures the feeling of finality and determination, with Cat's soaring vocals and bluesy guitar work. Cat’s multi-instrumental talents can be heard on guitar, keyboard, cello, and percussion throughout the album. Tony Levin and Jerry Marotta provide the rhythm section to "Dharma", bringing the sounds that they are known for in their work with Peter Gabriel and King Crimson. Jerry Marotta’s amazing drumming skills are also heard in “Doing It” and “Dirt”. Prairie Prince, known for his work with The Tubes, Todd Rundgren, Chris Izaak and many more, also brings a big rock sound to “Today”, “Never”, “Too Late”, “WIthout You’, and “Activities”.
Cat's song "White Trash Girl" is featured in the independent film “In Lieu of Flowers". Cat's song "Camouflage, which was written with Narada Michael Walden (Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey) and Don Novello (Saturday Night Live) was a top 20 hit in the UK.
“Cat sings and plays guitar like an angel with a sardonic streak. She'll break your heart with a stunningly musical passage and then mercilessly kick your ass all over hell with a fierce barrage of rock and roll aggression. Beware"
