Paul Jonah Mabin / Bio

Though there are many other trend setters in the “rock/jfunk/soul” world of music, Paul Jonah Mabin truly adds a new, refreshing and original sound to today’s pool of talented solo artists. Born in Michigan, Paul was raised in Grand Rapids, where he found himself routinely listening to vinyl recordings of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Dave Brubeck, Paul Simon, CSN, James Taylor, Quincy Jones and the list goes on.

He then, later, moved to Chicago to become a jingle singer while touring the country with an a cappella group he formed called The Sound.
In 1998 he flew to Los Angeles to audition as one of Seal’s background singers during his “Human Being” tour. He was immediately taken into Seal’s group and went on a promotional tour over seas and then later toured the US.

After the tour, Mabin decided to put a band together to perform his songs in the Chicago area. His new sound has since created a buzz with a mixture feel of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, The Who, The Chili Peppers, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon and more. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the music of Paul Jonah Mabin. He will be playing live starting in May of 2010 while working on his debut CD!
