Since relocating to Orlando from upstate New York, Unison has honed their act to a finely tuned machine. They have been burning up Floridas stages in much the same way they had done in New York for nearly 10 years. Some of the venues they have performed at include: Hard Rock Live, Sun Fest, The Social, Wills Pub, and Back Booth. The band also won the 2005 Battle of the Bands at Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach.
Unison's roots lay in New York State, where all of the members hail from. Singer and lead guitarist Shannon Peterson, drummer Corey Peterson and guitarist Mark Izzo have performed together since 1994 when they helped their high school guidance teacher found and implement what has since come to be known as The Annual Drug Prevention Battle of the Bands." The bands fourth member, bass player Frank Prestigiacomo, also hailing from upstate NY, has joined to add that final element to make Unison a name you won't forget for years.
The group harbors an inherent understanding that great music is made even more appealing by great showmanship. Their audiences are drawn not only to the bands impressive output of catchy original songs but also to the high-energy spectacle that Unison's shows invariably generate. In short, they know how to mix stimulating ear-candy with exhilarating eye-candy.
