Frontman guitarist/singer based in Ridgefield, CT. Performing for over 30 years with appearances in the Northeast US and Europe. Played with or opened for Richie Havens, Sue Foley, LIVE, Louisiana Red, John Hammond and Andy Powell (Wishbone Ash).
Electric style influenced by Albert King, Peter Green and Eric Clapton. Slide style influenced by Elmore James and Duane Allman.
Acoustic Folk/Americana/Blues style with emphasis on fingerstyle, open tunings and slide guitar techniques.
Studied with Dave Van Ronk, Woody Mann, Arlen Roth, Bob Brozman and Louisiana Red.
1988 to 1993 played with NY based favorites, The Malcoustics. One album released of original material "Eye of The Fish", 1993.
Acoustic solo album "JD Seem" of originals and covers released 1995. Played regularly over the years at Red Lion (Bleecker St., Greenwich Village), The Bayou (Mt Vernon, NY), The Black Bass (Rye, NY), The Rare Duck, Seasons Pub, The Lampost (all Martha's Vineyard), The Woodshed (Brewster, Mass) and many other now defunct clubs across NYC and the Tri-state area as well as a long list of colleges via National Association of Campus Activities.
Whilst living in Madrid, Spain, fronted 5 piece Chicage-style blues band, JD & The Blu-Tones. 2010 to 2012. Released one CD, "Tequila Reposado" Dec 2011.Performed extensively in Madrid, Spain club scene from 2011 to 2012. Various one-off performances in London, UK, Paris, FR and Barcelona, Spain.
