After the disbandment of the band ‘The Pinstripe Rebellion’ in the late summer of 2009, drummer Ben Ebert and guitarist/vocalist, Will Prinzi, set out to create another musical group, creating completely new material. After a few brief auditions, Ebert and Prinzi found guitarist Nick Skinner and bassist Patrick Espe. It was after finding these two talented musicians that Dear Sincerely was formed.
‘Dear Sincerely’ helps compliment the style and sound of music they play; a balanced combination of hardcore breakdowns and beautiful, soaring melodies. The concept of the band name is all about emotions. Their music is very dynamic and filled with different kinds of feelings. Love, hate, joy, sorrow. They capture all of that within the music by using the beginning and ending words commonly found in written letters.
Through their first few shows together, the band immediately established a solid and unique sound that separated them from other local bands in the surrounding San Francisco Bay Area. Approaching the summer of 2010, when it was clear that Prinzi was determined on his plans to leave for college in New York, the band began search for his replacement. Fortunately for the group, very close friend Christian Smith would turn out to be a perfect fit to take over Prinzi’s keyboard and guitar position. However, the ever-important position of lead vocalist was still needed. After only two auditions, they found vocalist Jon Leyden to be an unparalleled vocal match for the band.
With their new line up, Dear Sincerely is stronger than ever. Their new material is a revolution in the music scene, great things soon to follow.
